Chee Wan was invited to church and became a Christian in 1989 while serving his national service. He grew as a young christian with the help of his buddy Gin Kai, and together they helped several camp-mates become christians. He then joined the team that began the NUS ministry on campus as a student, and later became a leader in the vibrant NUS ministry. On graduation, he was eager to work with youths, and led the teens ministry for two years. He joined the teaching profession and is currently working at the Ministry of Education. He has served on the church management committee since 2004.
Yoke Ling became a Christian in 1995. Her zeal and dedication led her to being called into the full-time ministry after 8 months as a Christian, giving up her job as an accountant. She led various singles' ministries for a year and then became the church administrator in 1997. She is instrumental in setting up the church child-care centre and is now the principal at the centre.
Chee Wan and Yoke Ling were married in 1999 and have two beautiful children, Edrik and Andrea. They are now leading a parents' group in the Northeast sector, and are part of an active community in raising up godly children.
