| Bright Homes
On 13th October, Saturday, about 70 volunteers from our South Central region went to Block 32 Bendemeer Road to help give hope and encouragement to the elderly residents there. In cooperation with Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) and Lions Befrienders, our volunteers spent the afternoon singing karaoke with the senior citizens and hosting "gameshows" with them. This was all done with the purpose of brightening their day. The residents clearly enjoyed themselves and were thankful for the time spent with them. In addition, several of our volunteers went to different HDB units to befriend the elderly and assess what their needs were. This was done so that we can develop a long term plan of how to better help them. We will continue to serve the elderly residents on a regular basis on the second Saturday of every month (i.e., 10th November, 15th December).

Nurture
Nurture is a programme where we help disadvantaged kids who stay in a local neighborhood. These are kids ages 5-10 whose family situations do not allow them to participate in enriching programmes that most Singaporean children take for granted. Currently, there are 3 centres located in Redhill, Lengkok Bahru, and Bradell. On every second Saturday of the month, volunteers from the South Central region go to these centres to run different programmes for these kids. Past activities have included teaching Christmas carols, and field trips to the local dairy farms.
